Asthma and Coronary Heart Disease Clinics
These clinics are run throughout the week. All are by appointments only. The Patients that fall under theses categories will be sent for and will be seen by a nurse or GP for their annual check-ups.
Diabetic clinic
All diabetics are seen during clinic on a Tuesday afternoon. All diabetics are advised to attend regularly to prevent problems progressing. This clinic is by invited appointment
Family Planning
This is available from all doctors and nurses during normal consultations.
Travel Vaccinations and Influenza Vaccination
Influenza vaccinations are available from the end of September every year, we strongly advise all patients over 65 years of age and patients of all ages with chronic diseases such as asthma, heart disease, diabetes or those patients who have had a transplant to have influenza vaccinations.
Foreign travel immunisations are also available . The practice keeps up to date information on those vaccinations recommended for particular areas of the world.
Malaria tablets are no longer available on prescription but can be purchased at a pharmacy at a reasonable cost.
Non NHS services
Some services are not covered by the NHS, these services include medical examinations for PSV, HGV, and taxi drivers, insurance medicals, accident reports etc. A full list of charges can be obtained from the reception staff.
