Introduction of appointment system for blood tests (out of surgery) in the wake of many pressures and changes and in particular with social distancing requirements due to COVID19, the way the phlebotomy services are organised both in the immediate and longer term change. There is a move towards relocating Primary Care and Outpatient Secondary Care Phlebotomy from a hospital based service towards community based delivery as part of a radical re-organisation of Phlebotomy arrangements in Swansea Bay University Health Board.
A new arrangement involving an introduction of an appointment system (initially in Morriston Hospital, but due to be extended to Singleton and Neath Port Talbot) are being put in place with effect from the Thursday 20th August 2020.
